About Atlantic Coast Veterinary Specialists

Depth and Breadth of Practice

When it comes to capability, size does matter. And with our two locations, we are the largest veterinary cardiology practice in the Northeast. But that does not compromise the care and attention we give to each and every case. That’s what makes our practice different.

The advanced clinical research that takes place within the Atlantic practice is a marker of the level of achievement that our people desire to achieve. Not for personal gain or publishing notoriety, but to increase the solutions that we provide to veterinary GPs, their patients and owners. As such we have lectured around the world on some of the most interesting cardiology innovations and discoveries.

Superlative Staff.

Our full service staff in both the Farmingdale and Bohemia hospitals have been all been vetted, recruited, trained and led by our head cardiologist, Dr. George Kramer one of the areas most respected veterinarians and the founder of Atlantic Coast.

These professionals are earnest in their desire to help every single patient and expand learning among their peers. Collaboration is key that makes this happen with the result being that the practice’s capabilities are perpetually enhanced geometrically.

Leadership in Enhanced Services and Innovation

Not only is Dr. Kramer the founder of Atlantic Coast, but he has also created one of the largest veterinary ultrasound practices in the country, UltraVet Mobile. Providing this service to veterinarians who would not otherwise have the same level of access, is instrumental in broadening the capabilities of these doctors to serve their patients and owners.

Additionally, Dr. Kramer is the CEO of UltraVet Medical Devices, an innovation company with a number of device products either already in market or being readied to go to market. These include the CoAptValve®, and the Tucker Value™ both transcatheter valve devices which can be used to treat dogs with degenerative mitral/tricuspid valve disease, and two types of bronchial stents, a straight stent and a Bifurcated Bronchial Stent, designed to treat patients with severe airway disease who would not benefit from a standard straight stent.
